K turns two next week so it was time to make the big move! She LOVES her big girl bed and is sleeping like a champ. Who wouldn't love sleeping in this cute little bed with a hanging book rack with your favorite books next to your bed?
This book rack by Penny Carnival was Kelly M's very first sewing project from back in March! The 48" sling was too large for K's small space, but it was very easy to modify to a 36". Kelly chose wooden dowels as opposed to curtain rods so it would be sturdier for heavy books and rough toddler pulls. The dowels and brackets were available at her local Lowes.

ReplyDeleteI love the Book Sling idea from Penny Carnival, but hers seems to be rather large/deep... I feel like I could loose a small child down there, hahaha! Any-who, yours looks a bit more shallow and more practical for children's books. What were your final dimensions? Thanks~
